Cap and Hammer
A betting strategy using a small bet size in relation to the pot on the flop (usually 1/3rd pot), followed up by a larger sizing on the turn of 3/4 pot or larger. This combination is effective against opponents that will raise 1/3 pot c-bets with most of their strong hands. This strategy is best on turn cards unlikely to increase caller’s equity and on boards where floating with over cards will be common. Take this line with bluffs, draws, and made hands.
